‘Once is an Oversight, Twice is a Pattern’

In Culture, Foreign Policy, Front Page, World News by Allen West

My mom, “Snooks” West taught me “people will know you by the company you keep.” It is very applicable in the case of two members of the House Democrat caucus, Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar. Now, of course, we all know that both of them have been told by the State of Israel that in no uncertain terms, they are not welcome. What a shame, as I remember my Congressional delegation visit to Israel, truly an educational and spiritual experience. But it appears that the experiences, actions, and rhetoric of these two has resulted in someone finally informing them that there are consequences to their actions.

Of course, we are now going to hear all the crazed vitriol from the progressive socialist left that Israel is racist, sexist, and Islamophobic. Let’s just forget all the insidious and ugly things these two have said. I mean Ilhan Omar who has snuggled up in defending Islamic jihadists, referred to 911 as “some people did something,” has likened sanctions on Israel to sanctions on Nazi Germany. She has made horrific anti-Semitic statements such as her “Benjamins” reference towards the America Israel Policy Action Committee (AIPAC).

Then there is Rep. Tlaib, whose it seems, has an affinity for keeping company with Islamic terrorists. Remember, Tlaib is the same person who commented that she got a “calming feeling” thinking about the Holocaust.

As reported by the Investigative Project on Terrorism:

“In politics, once can be an oversight. But twice is a pattern. When U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., was photographed with an avowed Hizballah supporter in January – just after being sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives – she claimed she didn’t know the guy or what he stood for. But just two months later, Tlaib did it again. In a March photograph just discovered by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, Tlaib poses with Nader Jalajel, a Palestinian activist who last year mourned the death of a terrorist who led a shooting attack that murdered a rabbi.

“Allah Yerhamo,” or “May God have mercy on him,” Jalajel wrote above an image of the terrorist, Ahmed Jarrar, brandishing a gun. He died “after a long battle resisting the brutal Israeli occupation and defending his people and his land,” the image said. “We will never forget.” Jalajel offered similar condolences [this past] Sunday after Israel killed four Hamas terrorists who crossed the border from Gaza armed with assault rifles, grenades and anti-tank rockets. “LONG LIVE THE RESISTANCE!!!” Jalajel added.

Tlaib’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

According to Jalajel’s Facebook post, the picture with Tlaib was taken March 9 during a Palestinian American Women’s Association banquet in Garden Grove, Cal. That same organization directed supporters to donate to help Palestinian terrorist Rasmieh Odehget out of jail on bail in 2014 while she awaited sentencing for naturalization fraud. Odeh failed to tell U.S. immigration officials about her role in a 1969 Jerusalem grocery store bombing that killed two college students.

Tlaib has generated controversy for some of her anti-Israel positions, including her full support for the BDS campaign to boycott Israel and encourage business and academic institutions to divest investments in companies which do business in Israel. Tlaib compared the campaign to a boycott against Nazi Germany. Yet critics of BDS emphasize the program’s real goal as eliminating the state of Israel.

Her BDS advocacy appears to be a key reason Israel has just barred her from entering the country for a planned visit this weekend. In April [2019], she [Tlaib]  met with an American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) delegation. Several AMP leaders, including its chairman and its executive director, previously worked with a group called the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), which served as the propaganda arm of a Muslim Brotherhood-run Hamas-support network in the United States.”

Now, just asking the obvious, why is someone like this a US Congressional Representative? That means she has been granted a security clearance, which if she were to have to apply for, Tlaib would fail a background check. She, as well as Ilhan Omar, have obviously been in contact with individuals who have subversive views of America.

Let’s be honest: Israel was more than completely justified to say to these two supporters of Islamic jihadism that they are not welcome. It is time that these individuals were held responsible and accountable for their actions, and face the consequences. That is something that the progressive socialist left will not embrace, as they are in full support of Islamic-fascism. All one need to do is go onto these leftist dominated college and university campuses to witness the virulent anti-Semitism that exists.

I applaud @IsraeliPM Benyamin Netanyahu and the State of Israel for the decision that they made. Let's be honest: Israel was more than completely justified to say @IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib are not welcome. Click To Tweet

I applaud PM Benyamin Netanyahu and the State of Israel for the decision that they made. Now, will we send a message to these two letting them know their support to Islamic jihadism is not welcome here in our America?

They need to be voted out, but in the meantime, stripped of their security clearances . . . a privilege, not a right!
