One just has to ask: how many progressive socialists running for president can you fit into a clown car? The number has now increased to 23.
Now, you can believe that there are some who will vehemently state that they are not “socialists.” However, here is the litmus test, based upon a doctrinal, theoretical, definition of the collective economic system called socialism. The five defining points of socialism are: wealth redistribution, nationalizing economic production, creation and expansion of a welfare (nanny) state, social egalitarianism (the collective equality of outcomes), and secular humanism.
All one needs to do is listen carefully to these Democrat (socialist) Party candidates for president and you will clearly hear evidence of these fundamentals. You tell me what a universal basic income is? Doggone, it’s certainly is not a classical liberal concept, definitively not a Constitutional Conservative idea. It is nothing more than a socialist wealth redistribution scheme.
And, it appears, it is the mantra of the latest clown to hop into that car.
As reported by Fox News:
“New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Thursday morning that he will seek the Democratic nomination for president in 2020, saying President Trump “must be stopped.”
De Blasio is the 23rd Democrat to officially announce a bid for the White House and the second this week following Montana Gov. Steve Bullock’s announcement on Tuesday.
The second-term mayor’s central platform will be “working people first.” De Blasio touted his experience as mayor as his qualifications, including raising the city’s minimum wage to $15 an hour, approving a legal guarantee for paid sick leave and a fully comprehensive guaranteed healthcare system.
“We built an agenda that puts working families first.”
De Blasio’s potential candidacy has generated little enthusiasm from hometown constituents so far. A recent Quinnipiac University poll found 76 percent of New York City voters said they believed de Blasio shouldn’t run and gave the mayor “an anemic 42-44 percent job approval rating.”
What we should really be concerned about is de Blasio’s statement that “there is plenty of money in the world, in our country, it’s just in the wrong hands.” Really?
So, not only do we know that the progressive socialist left is into gun confiscation, they are into your money confiscation. Actually, it does somewhat make sense that they would associate these two ideas. You ain’t gonna be able to confiscate an individual’s money if they are armed. If you don’t believe me, ask the British and King George III.
That really is what ol’ Big Bill is, just another ideological tyrant who believes he knows what is best for you, and your life. First and foremost, it’s to separate you from your own wealth in order to feed his personal greed and misplaced philanthropy. There is nothing new about what Billy Boy is seeking to do. It was back in the 1850s when a French economist named Frederic Bastiat wrote a very powerful essay called, “The Law.” In it, Bastiat talks about “legal plunder” and that is what socialism is all about..what Bill de Blasio is all about, legalized, government supported plunder.
I have to ask, who does de Blasio consider to be the “rich,” or wealthy? Does Billy believe that the elites in the entertainment, sports, academic, cultural, and media are those folks who have too much money in their hands? Think about all the millionaires and billionaires that exist on the progressive socialist left side of politics in America: Buffet (a real crony capitalist), Bezos (richest man in the world), Soros (major financier of all things socialist), Steyer (made his wealth off fossil fuels, now funds the leftist environmental movement), Zuckerberg and Dorsey (captains of team censorship of conservatives), or Gates (Mr. Common Core)? Heck, I have not even gone down the list of all the Hollywood elites and sports figures who are multi-millionaires who stand arm in arm with leftist policies and socialist philosophy of governance. Does Billy believe that these folks have too much money in their hands, that he needs to legally confiscate by way of progressive socialist initiatives like wealth redistribution?
Of course, he does not, what de Blasio is talking about are those who do not embrace leftism, collectivism, economic servitude. At the beginning of this week I talked about “economic terrorism,” this is the mantra of the progressive socialist left. This is how they roll.
As a reminder, this is what destroyed a country called Venezuela. Remember all those entertainment elites who were running down and praising Hugo Chavez? Seen any of those jackasses flying down there lately? Heck, have you even heard any of these leftists talk about things happening in Venezuela? Of course not, because what Chavez did — gun and financial confiscation — is exactly what the Party of the Jackass wants to do here in America. And, they actually believe that they can.
Look at what Mayor Bill de Blasio has done to New York City. Do you really want that for America?
If you really want a basic, simple definition of socialism, well, here it is:
“Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.”
— Sir Winston Churchill, Perth Scotland, 28 May 1948.
Churchill nailed it, and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio is the epitome of it.
